Friday Misc.

Just a few random thoughts before the weekend starts....

Does anyone watch the television show The O.C.? That show is becoming so predictable, I totally saw Ryan getting kicked out of school from a mile away and can anyone say that Julie is going to get NO money from Caleb's will. Ugh...what happened to this show, the first season was so good!

Still smarting from being summarily dismissed this week by two potential marriage candidates, apparently I wasn't good enough for them (in one case not intelligent enough and in another just not attractive enough I suppose). Yeah thats great, just perfect for my self-esteem (as I adjust the noose around my neck) - oh God I pray I am going through all of this because there is something better around the corner.

and finally, what is wrong with my blog...why are the posts so far down on the page? Did I hit something by mistake, please let me know if this is a human error and something I can fix, I'm still learning this whole blog thing.

Have a good weekend!

Yay! I'm first!

VG - Re the posts way down the page thing: I've noticed this on quite a few blogs lately (all of them hosted on blogger.com too), so yours is nothing unusual of late. Sorry to say I don't know what the problem is though.

As for that potential suitor: He IS around the corner somewhere. The ones you are seeing now are simply not good enough for you. It's just natures way of saying 'see how lucky you are that this jerk didn't realise how lucky he could have been'.

Just you wait. You'll see. Remember that old thing of 'when you least expect it'? It's true.

I'm Second!

VG, I think the problem may be Wednesday's post . . . I notice that the link (on my computer anyway) is a bit wider than the normal column length, so you may want to edit it a bit.

Those marriage candidates sound like they were dips and you probably wouldn't have enjoyed being married to them anyway. I wish I had advice to offer . . . my friends from India tended to marry "Anglo" guys and girls. I second Piggy & Tazzy's advice, but I know it is easier said than felt. Hang in there, my dear!

Thanks P&T - you're too sweet, InshAllah someone who is a friend will become something more :-)
Random Kath - you figured it out, I edited Wednesday's post and it fixed this page right up, genius!

VG, if you're not intelligent enough for someone, then they must be some sort of dull egghead. And a woman is attractive when she is happy. Period. There are lots of fat, ugly, happily married women out there, and lotsa single beauties, too. Enjoy the life and freedom you have now, and the rest will come.

What everyone is saying? Ditto.

I met my first husband on a blind date (of all things). Then he died. I said "That's it! No more! It's just me and the pets from now on!"

I met Geo a week later on a blind date (set up by my parents to boot).

I don't know if you listen to country (not many people do) but Reba McEntire had the perfect song about this called "Somebody". You don't need to listen to the song - just read the lyrics.
